Bonser Family Holiday 2010

Hello Paul & Marcela

We had a fabulous weeks holiday at Cabane Du Pecheur with all the family, best
of all our little boy was able to divide his time between the two cabins so he
could spend time with his grandparents and cousins. Our first ever holiday on a
fishing lake, but it was great as everyone was happy. Paul was a welcoming host
and generous with local infomation which helped make our stay even  more enjoyable.'
Even the rain couldn't dampen our spirits.!!!

Peter & Pat Holiday 2010

Hi Paul, Marcela & Colin & Beryl

“Lovely area with historic areas within easy reach. Especially Bayeux and Normandy beaches. Lovely people very kind and helpful. My wife being a smoker found the outside area made her holiday, the log fire was most welcome in the chilly evenings”

See you in August 2011

Dave and Rose Holiday 2010

Hi Paul, Marcela & Rocky,

Hope you are all well. Needless to say, we had a great time at your place
again this year. The only problem being that the time seems to go so fast.
We managed more time on our bikes this year too, what with that beautiful
Voie Verte and the surrounding small villages all easy to cycle to. PLUS, I
managed to catch one of your big carp. I must spend more time hunting for
these beasties next year. Rose misses the quiet and beautiful surroundings
as it’s great for her painting and sketching. In saying that, I think she
misses the plonk, good food and excellent company we always enjoy whilst
staying at La Cabane du Pêcheur. Don’t change a thing, just be there for
next year.

Send our love to Colin and Beryl and we’ll see you all in 2011.

Love, Rose and Dave

Ken and Family 2010

A few words about the times we have stayed at your place. First it is very easy to find and get to with all the good road network wether you are coming dover/ calais or portsmouth/caen. And when you get there it is nice quiet and peaceful. The cabins have everything you need from cooking for yourself to washing, you can have a barbeque in any weather cos its under a pergola. You can get to all the places of interest within about 1 hours drive and the roads are very good to drive on.
Thats why we keep coming back.
See you soon

Daniel, Amy and Family 2010

My family found the website and the pictures and description looked so inviting.

From the moment we enquired about renting a cabin, we knew this was the right
place. Everyone we emailed was so polite, friendly and informative.

When we arrived, the place surpassed our expectations. It was an idyllic
environment. The greenery, the peace and quiet, the badminton, the bocci ball
and the lake with fishing were all more than you could ask for.

Our three children (8,6 and 2) all loved it and never asked, "We're
bored--there's nothing to do."

The site is nestled in the Normandy and the many attractions of the region are
only a short drive away.

What more can you ask for in a vacation if you want a tranquil setting to get
away from the stresses of modern day life.

Cheers

Mandy and family 2009

Dear Paul and Marcela

We had a great time in August 2009.  Jim and Amy enjoyed the fishing immensely.  The horseriding with Marcela was Amy's favourite outing and Beryl and Colin made me very welcome whilst Amy was riding, we really wish we had more time and could have had another turn out with the horses.

I would like to tell all the non fisherwomen who are thinking of accompanying their men to La Cabane du Pecheur GO FOR IT.  The ambience is wonderful, it is peaceful and relaxing as well as there being pockets of areas to use up a bit of energy, we played badminton by the lake, boules and if you still feeling energetic then there is the jog up the Voie Vert to Domfront.

We have been to the area a few times and tried different accommodation and this one is a definite to return to.

Good luck with the business.

Abbott family holiday 09

Hello Walker family,  had a fantastic holiday at Cabane du pecheur with my family Sam and Amber.  It is my little piece of heaven very quiet and peaceful.  I caught 15 good sized Carp and lost a few as well.  Amber had a wonderful couple of days on the Horses and also enjoyed the good weather sun bathing with her mum reading and relaxing.

See you soon

Dave and Rose Groves 2009

Hi Paul and Marcella (and Rocky!!)

We’d just like to say how much we really enjoyed our week at Cabane du Pecheur. With hindsight, we really wish we had booked for two weeks as it was one of the most relaxing and chilled holidays we have ever had.

Dave really enjoyed the fishing even though he didn’t catch the ‘big’ one! I thoroughly enjoyed the chance to sit and watch the wildlife, read books and improve my painting technique! I thoroughly recommend it to other ‘fishing widows’ !!

We have never slept so well and think it was a combination of the country air and the peace and quiet.

One thing we wish we had done was to use the fantastic green cycle/walking route much earlier in the week. For an out of practice cyclist like myself, it was good to know I wouldn’t be a hindrance to other traffic! Ha! Ha!

Please remember us to Colin and Beryl and we hope to see you all again; if not later this year, definitely in 2010.

Many thanks for making us feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble.

Take care

Love

Just want to say a big thank you to Paul and Marcela for there hospitality on our weeks fishing break at La Selle La Forge.  They couldn't do enough for us,  and Paul makes a mean breakfast stick.  We caught some great Carp and had a great laugh.  Would and will recommend Cabane du Pecheur to anyone for a fantastic holiday.

Hi Paul

I just wanted to drop you a line to say thank you for our truly memorable two week holiday at La Selle La Forge.

Evie and I had a brilliant time fishing in the lake where she caught her first fish! I caught a beautiful looking, near double figure, common carp and I also put some decent tench and bream on the bank as well.

The cabin itself was perfect for us as a family and found it well equipped inside and out - we loved the built in barbeque!

I would thoroughly recommend the cabin for a very relaxing family holiday, we found lots to do in the surrounding area - Bayeaux is a great place to visit as are the D-Day landing beaches and museums which were about an hours drive away.

Thanks again, we hope to return next summer,

Graeme, Sharon, Evie & Ellis Gardner.
